Himalaya Hill Tour

Duration: 16 Nights / 17 Days

Destinations Covered: Delhi - Kashmir - Ladakh - Zanskar Valley

Day 01 : Arrival Delhi
As soon as you arrive at Delhi, you will be transferred to the hotel. Spend the afternoon by visiting some famous tourist spots in Old and New Delhi including Jama Masjid, Red Fort, Qutab Minar, Parliament building, President's house and India Gate. Return to the hotel and spend the night there.

Day 02 : Delhi - Srinagar
On the arrival at Srinagar airport, you will be escorted by our representatives to a Houseboat. Have a relaxing Shikara ride on the Dal Lake visiting fascinating places around the Lake in the afternoon. Spend the night in the Houseboat.

Day 03 : Srinagar
After having breakfast in the morning, enjoy a half-day tour to the world famous Mughal gardens. The tour includes Nishat or The Garden of Pleasure, built by Asaf Jah in 1636 AD and Shamilar Bagh or The Abode of Love, built by Jehangir for his beloved Nur Jahan in 1619 AD. In the afternoon, visit Jamia Masjid, Shah Hamdan mosque, Srinagar Museum in the Old Srinagar city and enjoy walking through the busy bazaar of the city. Stay overnight in the Houseboat.

Day 04 : Srinagar - Kargil
After having breakfast start for a full day drive to Kargil. On the way to Sonmarg visit the Zojila pass, which is 3527 mts high and known as the Gateway of Ladakh. Continue the drive towards Drass, the second coldest place in the world. Stop here to have a cup of tea and passport check. Another two and half-hours drive will take you to Kargil. Spend the night at the hotel.

Day 05 : Kargil - Rangdom
From Kargil, drive towards Zanskar valley. On the way visit Panikar and Parkachan villages, from where you can have a view of Nun & Kun peaks. After arriving at Rangdom, in the evening spend the night in tent.

Day 06 : Rangdom - Padam
After a short drive, stop at Rangdom Gompa. Visit the capital of Zanskar valley, Padam,Pensila pass, 4401 mts and some ancient Buddhist villages. After crossing Tungri Bridge, visit Sunni Gompa. Reach Padam in the late afternoon and spend the night in tents.

Day 07 : Padam
Start for a full-day tour, visiting several beautiful places in Padam. Enjoy the scenic beauty of Pipitong, Thonde Gompa and Zangla. Zangla is the most beautiful village and has the ancient Zangla Gompa and the Queen's house. While returning visit one of the oldest monastery, Karsha Gompa. Stay overnight in the tent.

Day 08 : Padam - Bardan Gompa
Trek to the awesome Bardan Gompa and on the way back visit Padam market and Padam Gompa also. Spend the night in the tent.

Day 09 : Padam - Kargil
Drive throughout the day and reach Kargil in the evening. Stay in the hotel that night.

Day 10 : Kargil - Uletokpo
In the morning start for Uletokpo. On the way to Uletokpo you have to cross the highest pass on the Srinagar- Leh route, named Fotula at an altitude of 13749 fts. On the way visit Mulbek and Lamayuru monastery, one of the oldest monastery in Ladakh region. Continue drive to Uletokpo and in the late afternoon you can visit Rizong monastery, by foot, 5 Kms to and fro. Spend the night in the tent.

Day 11 : Uletokpo - Leh
On the way to Leh, visit Alchi monastery and interesting Buddhist villages. You can spend the afternoon through some personal activities. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 12 : Leh (Ladakh)
Enjoy a full-day excursion to Shey, Thiksey and Hemis monastery, which is the most popular monastery in Ladakh region. In late afternoon return to the hotel and spend the night there.

Day 13 : Leh (Ladakh)
In the morning enjoy the beautiful Spituk and Phyang monastery. Afternoon visit Kings palace, Tsemo Gompa, Leh Mosque, Leh Bazaar and Shankar Gompa by foot, and stay the night in the hotel.

Day 14 : Leh (Ladakh)
Visit Stok Palace/Museum and on the way back, Tibetan Refugee Camp. Spend the afternoon in a relaxed way and the night in the hotel.

Day 15 : Leh - Delhi
You will be transferred in time for domestic flight, which is subject to weather. After reaching Delhi, spend the night in the hotel.

Day 16 : In Delhi
You can enjoy the local sightseeing in Old or New Delhi or else spend the day at leisure. Stay overnight in the hotel.

Day 17 : Delhi - Back Home
You will be transferred in time for international flight back home.



Ladakh Short Tour

Duration : 9 Days / 8 Nights
Place : New Delhi - Leh - Thikse - Shey - Hemis - Spituk - Phyang - KhardungLa Pass - Leh - Pangong Lake - Leh - New Delh

Day 01: New Delhi
Around midnight arrival in New Delhi. The cosmopolitan city and capital Delhi is the main gateway for travellers. You are met by an Indo Vacations representative and transferred to the hotel.

Day 02: New Delhi - Leh (by air)
In the morning a short flight brings us to Leh, the capital of Ladakh. Due to its altitude (3500 m.) Ladakh is also known as the roof of the world. Leh was an important place in the historical times on the silk road to central Asia. The rest of the day is at leisure to acclimatize yourself to the high altitude of Leh. In the evening you will visit Leh Bazaar and Leh monastery.

Day 03: Leh Excursion (Thikse, Shey, Hemis)
Today we start our excursion by visiting the monastery of Thikse. Thikse is one of the most imposing monastery in Ladakh. The monastery has 12 stories, 10 temples, a nunnery and 60 lamas in residence. It contains numerous stupas, statues, tankhas, wall painting and a large pillar engraved with the teaching of Buddha. We can also see here a collection of Tibetan scripts. After the visit of Thikse we visit the village of Shey on the eastern bank of the Indus. Shey was the royal residence and was located at an important vantage point in the Indus valley. It has a large victory Stupa which is topped with gold. After the visit of the monastery of Shey we visit the monastery of Hemis. The rich monastery of Hemis is the biggest in Ladakh and is perched on top of a pleasant green hill surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery.

Day 04: Leh Excursion (Spituk, Phyang)
Today we start our day by visiting the monastery Spituk. Spituk monastery (15th Century) is 8 km from Leh and is situated on a hilltop overlooking the Indus. Spituk valley has an enormous status of Kali whose face is unveiled once a year during the Spituk festival. This monastery also contains an ancient collection of masks. 135 yellow capped monks resides in this monastery. After the visit of Spituk we shall proceed to the Gompa Phyang which is a traditional monastery setting for a spectacular religious festival with masked dancing. There are 50 red capped monks residing here.

Day 05: Leh - KhardungLa Pass - Leh
After breakfast we will drive further to visit the KhardungLa Pass which is the highest motorable road in the world located at 18832 feet above sea level. In KhardungLa pass the snow capped mountains and the mountain views are amazing. In the afternoon we will visit Singhu point (Indus river where all the Singhes pay holy bath) and Stok Museum. The Stok palace and museum is around 200 years old. The palace and museum at Stok is a
showpiece for the royal tankhas, royal crown, dresses, coins, precious stones and
turquoise head dresses.

Day 06: Leh
In the afternoon we will visit Leh palace, Shanti Stupa. We have an overnight stay in Leh.

Day 07: Leh - Pangong Lake - Leh
After having the breakfast we leave for Pangong Lake. It is the highest land locked sea of which half the portion is in China and half portion is in India. We have an overnight stay in Leh.

Day 08: Leh - New Delhi (by air)
After having the breakfast we drive to the airport to board flight for New Delhi. Arrival in Delhi in the afternoon. The rest of the day at leisure. Rooms are available to get refresh before departing for the airport.

Day 09: New Delhi
Around midnight flight to home destination.

Ladakh Trekking Tour

Duration: 7 Nights / 8 Days
Destinations: Pahalgam - Sheshnag - Permandal - Humpet - Kantial Valley - Boktol Pass - Donara - Panikhar

Day 1 & 2 -Pahalgam
Trekking from Pahalgam to Sheshnag following the first two stages of trekking to Amarnath Cave.
Pahalgam - Pahalgam is the jewel of the Liddar valley of Jammu and Kashmir in the high Himalayas. Famous as the starting point pf Amarnath pilgrimage, it provides excellent opportunities for hiking, trekking and fishing. At an altitude of 2130 m above sea level, has verdant natural beauty with sparkling waters of River Liddar, snow covered mountains and lush greenery. It is the Asia's only saffron growing area. One can opt for horse riding throught its delightful walks and watch the breathtaking views of the alpine forests of the Himalayas. It also offers angling and trout fishing in Liddar river. Virgin pine forests, clear mountain streams and wildflower meadows make it ideal for trekking.

Day 6 -Humpet

Day 05: Dharamsala to Manali
Dharamsala to Manali is a diastance of 260 Kms. Overnight hotel at Manali.

Day 06: Manali
Full day sightseeing of Manali Hidimba Temple, Manu Temple, Tibetan monastery and excursion to Nagar castle and Roerich art gallery.

Day 07: Manali to Keylong - 110 Kms
After Breakfast Driving towards The famous Rohatang Pass (4025M) and visiting Vishisht Temple, Golaba Marhi and Rahala fall. Descending down from Rohatang pass. Overnight hotel at Keylong.

Day 08: Keylong to Sarchu
After breakfast drive from Keylong to Sarchu.The road moves flat till Jespa and Darcha, 05 Kms distance between both, from Darcha the altitude starts increasing upto Baralacha Pass (4800 Mt) Overnight at Camp at Sarchu

Day 09: Sarchu to Leh
Distance from Sarchu to Leh is 240 Km and really exciting drive as today we will be driving over Tangling La (5280 Mts.) the second highest motorable pass in the world that commands breath taking views of the Zanskar range. Overnight hotel. At Leh

Day 10: Leh Sightseeing
Of the places in Leh and around like Shanti Stupa, Stok Palace and main Bazaar. The Leh palace dominating the town was the former home of the Namgyal Dynasty. O/N Hotel

Day 11: Leh Excursion
Of the important monasteries like Hemis and Spituk monastery The monastic festivals are very popular and Hemis, Phyang and Lamayuru festivals in summer are visited by lot of tourists who throng to see the Cham Dances.

Day 12:
Fly back to Delhi.

Ladakh Camel Safari Tour

Duration: 8 Nights / 9 Days
Destinations: Delhi - Leh - Hunder - Diskit - Tegger - Pinchimic - Panamic - Leh - Delhi

Day 01: Delhi/Leh
Met upon arrival at the Leh airport and transfer to hotel. Day free at rest for high altitude acclamatisation. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 02: Leh - Car/Jeep
Morning proceed to visit the most important monasteries of central Ladakh along river Indus. VISIT: SHEY GOMPA (It was the ancient capital of Ladakh. The monastery has a huge copper gilted image of Sakayamuni Buddha and a large silver lamp burning infront of the statue), THIKSAY GOMPA (one of the most pictresquely lacted Gompa, the monastery is actually a complex of buildings on a crag rising in tier upon tier above the village. The Chamba Dhukang enshrines a huge image of Maitraya Buddha) and later drive further down to cross over the bridge at Kharu and visit the largest and the richest HEMIS GOMPA (wander through the many darkly lit prayer halls with exqusite thankas, paintings, murals, silver stupas etc). Drive back to Leh. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 03: Leh/Hunder - Jeeps
Early morning drive in jeeps to Hunder. After 39 kms from Leh cross over the highest motorable road in the world KHARDUNG-LA (5,578 MT). The view from the top is simply amazing. Enter Nubra Valley situated along river Shayok. The valley is covered with dense thickets of seabuckthorn - a throny schurb which the villagers use for fuel and fencing their fields. Enroute drive past the capital Diskit. Drive another 9 kms further and arrive at the small village of Hunder (3,048 mt). Overnight stay in tents.

Day 04: Hunder/Diskit - Camel Safari
Morning visit Chamba monastery of Hunder and then start the Camel Safari on the shabby double-humped Bactrian camels, which in olden days were the main mode of transport on the Ladakh-Yarkhand (Turkmanistan) trade. The Safari goes along the soft white sandy deserts with rolling sand dunes. Arrival at the capital of Nubra i.e. Diskit. Afternoon proceed to explore the DISKIT VILLAGE. Being the main town of Nubra, it has a small market bustling with activity. Also visit the Gompa, situated on a rocky spur above the village providing a commanding view of the valley. Overnight stay in camps.

Day 05: Diskit/Tegger - Jeeps | Tegger
Morning drive to Tegger village (3,146 mt). Upon arrival visit Samstanling village off the main road and is one of the most charming villages of Nubra. Visit Samstanling Gompa. Afternoon start Camel Safari to reach Pinchimic. The Safari is comparatively short and goes along the river where the valley is well spread. Arrive Pinchimic and overnight stay in tents.

Day 06: Pinchimic/Panamic - Camel Safa
Morning start the last leg of Camel Safari to Panamic. Enroute visit a beautiful lake chucked between two small hills. Checkin at the camps upon arrival. Afternoon explore PANAMIC VILLAGE: During the trade between Central Asia and Ladakh, Panamic was the last major settlement before the caravans cross the Karakoram range. Today, Panamic is a sleepy village, with its people quitly working in their fields. Visit the village thermal HOT SPRINGS locally reputed to have therapeutic qualities. Overnight in tents.

Day 07: Panamic/Leh - Jeeps
Morning visit to ENSA GOMPA across the river clinging precariously to the mountain sorrounded by few trees. Return back and drive to Leh. Upon arrival in the evening checkin at the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 08: Leh
Day free at leisure to explore the market. Evening proceed for Folk dances of Ladakh programme. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 09: Leh/Delhi - IC Flight :
Morning transfer to airport to board flight for Delhi.
